MUMBAI
Action Plan
Now playing at a city near you: brand new Bollywood Tours by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC). Hour-long jaunts in northwest Mumbai’s Goregaon Film City, the tours will start from MTDC’s Prabhadevi office and will only run on the weekends. The rest of the details are yet to trickle in. But star-struck punters hoping to swing a tête-à-tête with the starlet-of-the-season may want to stalk their website for more information (maharashtratourism.gov.in). Hardly new as a concept (just try googling Bollywood tourism), the tours available so far were run by private operators, and aimed at inbound tourists willing to spend a king’s ransom to be a fly on the wall (from Rs 3,000–14,500; bollywoodtourism.com, bollywoodtours.in). But for MTDC to turn their tours into blockbusters, it’s the cheap front row tickets they must offer.

Now, I read about all these [commercial] plans to go to space. If I ever get a chance, I’d love to perform in space or on the moon!
