There are at least three places in the world that lay claim to being the southernmost city in the world, but this particular city swings it as the other settlements are either further north or aren’t much larger than a village. Till about 150 years ago it used to be the home of the Yaghan Indians before any European settled there. In the 1880s there was a gold rush in this city following false reports of massive gold deposits. Despite being a part of a different continent, the city’s position makes it more susceptible to the influence of an Antarctic climate. A famous train line runs from this city and is rather ominously labelled the ‘End of the World Train’.
Name the city and the country it is located in.
